Tottenham are yet to make an offer for Bayer Leverkusen star Filip Kostic, despite reports of their interest in the Serbian.
That’s according to both BILD and Frankfurter Rundschau, who say the Europa League champions have not received offers for their star players as yet.
Kostic has been one of the stars for Leverkusen this season, with seven goals and 15 assists in 43 games in all competitions and a starring role in their European triumph.
He’s subsequently been linked with a move away from Germany, particularly as his current contract is set to expire in 2023, and he’s not yet signed a new deal.
FR pick up on that today in a piece covering the potential incomings and outgoings at Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
They insist that there have been ‘no concrete offers’ received for any of their players to date, ‘not even one from Tottenham’ despite the reports of interest in Kostic. They also say Spurs ‘reportedly want to spend €30m’ which is significantly higher than what’s been reported in England.
Frankfurt aren’t even convinced players like Kostic will be leaving, and there is a feeling certain players have “fallen in love with Eintracht all over again”.
BILD back this up and state one thing is clear at the German club, they want to upgrade the left-wing regardless of where Kostic stays or not.
On his future, they say that Juventus are reportedly willing to pay €15m, but so far, ‘no offer has been received’ for anyone in the squad.
It seems, then, that Tottenham are yet to take their interest any further at this point, but perhaps that will change after their recent injection of cash.
