Over the past couple of weeks, when the French press has discussed the possibility of N’Golo Kanté moving to Paris Saint-Germain, the slant has been mainly optimistic, with talk of a €90-100m transfer.
France Football did it last week, claiming that Chelsea were already looking at alternatives, while L’Equipe were the latest to do so on Wednesday morning.
The French newspaper stated that any deal would have to be €100m, but that in order to reduce the price, they’d be willing to include Adrien Rabiot as a part-exchange.
That’s all well and good, but Le10 Sport aren’t having any of it.
Normally the ones you’d expect to be pushing such a big and, quite frankly, ridiculous transfer, the French website are playing everything down, revealing there are no negotiations currently underway.
The reason for that is that Chelsea are in no shape or form interested in seeing their star defensive midfielder leave this summer and that Paris Saint-Germain would have to prove ‘very convincing’ to make them change their mind.
As for the Adrien Rabiot situation, they explain that wouldn’t even be discussed, as the 23-year-old’s entourage are ‘not at all prepared’ to entertain a move to Stamford Bridge as things stand.
