Celtic midfielder Kouassi Eboue has spoken to Russian media outlet Iz.ru on his return to the country.
Eboue played for Russian side Krasnodar before joining Celtic, and he believes the SPL champions will progress to the next round “For me we have every chance to progress to the last 16 of the Europa League.”
“We just need to continue to work and show the same performance as last week. If we manage to do that, I think we can eliminate them.”
The Celtic player was also asked who he thought would be the most dangerous player for Zenit “There are no dangerous players for me.”
Celtic go into the game against Zenit 1-0 up from the first leg, but are likely to face a difficult game in Russia tonight.
However, Celtic will go into the second leg with Zenit fresh, after Brendan Rodgers made seven changes last weekend against St Johnstone from those involved last Thursday
With Celtic more or less securing another SPL title Rodgers was able to give his fringe players a chance in the draw with St Johnstone, and it seems in the past week he’s had his eye on the Europa League.
After Zenit failed to score at Celtic Park, an away goal for the Hoops could prove vital.
