Spanish outlet Marca is very sure that Eden Hazard is not leaving Real Madrid in January.

Following claims from the English media saying Newcastle United are interested in signing the 30-year-old, their response is that the move is simply not happening.

Marca writes there’s ‘no contact and the player is not interested’ in the project the Magpies have been involved in.

With Carlo Ancelotti recently claiming the door is open for those who don’t want to stay and Hazard not getting many minutes, that of course created a favourable scenario for transfer rumours. However, there are a couple of reasons why he’s not moving.

The first one is because Real Madrid don’t want to sell him now. The club consider his signing a failure, but to recover part of the money, they must let him go in a summer window, as the January market usually pays less.

Regarding Hazard, it’s said that despite his few minutes on the pitch, he does not have a bad relationship with Carlo Ancelotti. Marca claims the player knows he must work to get a place in the team, and since Vinícius Junior seems ‘untouchable’ on the left-wing, the former Chelsea star should now try to get a chance on the right.

Meanwhile, Newcastle’s recent plans were also highlighted in the Spanish media today as they were linked to manager Unai Emery. In a press conference, the Villarreal manager claimed he knows ‘nothing’ about the Magpies’ interest in signing him.
