It’s now time for the German media to bring their slant on Bayern Munich’s alleged interest in Leeds United youngster Archie Gray.
As a response to recent news from the English media, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg shows up on Twitter with an update on this case.
The reporter claims that Bayern Munich are indeed ‘monitoring’ Gray’s development at Leeds, as they know about his quality, but that doesn’t mean they’re even considering signing him.
It’s made clear that the youngster is ‘not a hot topic’ at the Bundesliga giants, and there’s been ‘no contact’ between them and the player’s agents.
Plettenberg also highlights that Gray is a ‘key player’ for Leeds, where he’s well protected with a contract running until 2028.
The youngster has been a pleasant surprise for the Whites, as despite having just turned 18 last month, he’s made 46 appearances for them this season.
Transfermarkt currently value Gray at €16m, although it’s likely that Leeds would demand a lot more to let such a promising player go, especially with a long term contract running.
