Giovanni Di Lorenzo won the European championship with Italy at Wembley, as the Azzurri overcame England in the final on Sunday.

Having played in Serie C in 2017, the Napoli player has had a meteoric rise over the last four years and his recent form has caught the attention of Manchester United.

Over the weekend, La Stampa reported the Red Devils find the 27-year-old ‘suitable’ for the Premier League.

CalcioNapoli24 now state the player was ‘certainly the revelation’ of Euro 2020, having played the full match against Spain and England in the semi-final and final respectively.

Regarding the Premier League side’s interest and their rumoured offer of €20m, the outlet states there is ‘no confirmation’ of Napoli receiving an offer from the Old Trafford club for Di Lorenzo.

United were interested in the fullback, but that was before he signed his last extension in August 2020. His current deal with the Serie A side expires in 2025.

Even if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side show interest over signing Di Lorenzo this summer, a deal would be difficult to conclude.

That’s because Luciano Spalletti likes him and Napoli, who view the Italian as immovable player, have no plans to sell Di Lorenzo in the ongoing window.
