According to a claim in the Italian media, Hearts have failed to come to an agreement to re-sign Genoa attacker Manuel David Milinkovic.

Milinkovic spent last season on loan with Hearts and there’s a possibility Championship sides Reading and Ipswich Town could come in for the 24 year old.

TMW report Hearts wants to bring the winger back to Tynecastle for next season, but it’s looking unlikely he will return to the Scottish Premiership side.

It’s claimed Genoa and Hearts came to an agreement over a permanent transfer, but the contract offered to the player has so far been rejected.

This now opens the door for both Ipswich Town and Reading to sign Milinkovic, with the two clubs credited with interest.

Both Ipswich Town and Reading had disappointing campaigns last season and will be looking to put this right this summer by improving their squads.

Milinkovic played 22 games for Hearts last season, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists.
