Diogo Dalot moved to AC Milan on loan from Manchester United in the summer after failing to establish himself under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.

The Italian club took the 21-year-old on a dry loan deal, meaning the Red Devils player will have to return to England when the season comes to an end.

Dalot has played every minute of Milan’s Europa League fixtures this term, scoring a goal and registering two assists in the process. However, he’s yet to start in the league and has been restricted to only 19 minutes of action across two matches in Serie A.

On December 3rd, we relayed news from Italy that the Rossoneri are in no rush to make a decision on the Portuguese defender’s future beyond this campaign.

The Premier League side seems to ‘have no intention’ to bet on him and the website is basing this on the recent rumours that suggested Solskjaer’s side are interested in Atlético Madrid’s Kieran Trippier. The outlet then provides their own information on this case.

It’s claimed Dalot, who has not fully convinced Milan, ‘certainly has great potential’ and the Italians would be willing to take him, but for a ‘reasonable fee’.

According to the report, the ‘next few weeks will be crucial’ for Dalot to prove his worth to Stefano Pioli, and the United man needs to fulfil this criteria, if he is to ‘convince’ Milan to bet on his signing.
