Last week saw several reports from Italy explain that Fiorentina’s Igor Julio was one step away from Brighton & Hove Albion and the two clubs were sorting out the final details of the operation.
There’s been progress made in this deal as the last details seem to have been worked out between the Seagulls and the Serie A side.
That’s according to Fiorentina News, who say the Italian club have to find a replacement for the 25-year-old as he’s set to complete a move to Brighton in the ‘next few hours’.
The report states the Brazilian said goodbye to the Serie A club last weekend, with a tribute to Fiorentina and their supporters. The centre-back is now preparing to become a ‘fully-fledged’ Brighton player.
It’s claimed Igor should undergo medical tests with the Premier League side on Tuesday, before signing his contract at The Amex, likely in the next few hours.
The two reports don’t mention the fee Roberto De Zerbi’s side will pay Fiorentina for Igor.
