It’s been a while since Palmeiras midfielder Danilo started being linked to Arsenal, but we get another update on this chase today.
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola comes up with a video claiming there are three European sides who’d like to sign the 20-year-old.
Speaking to the youngster’s entourage, he learned that those are the Gunners, Atletico Madrid and Lyon.
The reporter claims many people don’t expect Danilo to finish the year at Palmeiras, as he’s likely to leave for Europe in the summer, even though there have been no official bids so far.
Quoting the representative who spoke to him, it’s said that offers should indeed come in the summer, although there was no direct confirmation that Arsenal would be putting in a bid.
“For now, there are only polls. No official offers. We should have news from May or June”, said the agent.
According to the report, Palmeiras believe they can make up to €30m with Danilo’s sale.
The Brazilian side have been piling up titles in the past couple of years, and the midfielder is considered to be their biggest asset in the transfer market.
With the competition growing, Arsenal now know they have some clubs to beat.
