As Paris Saint Germain prepare to face Newcastle United in the Champions League this week, they’re working out which of their players will be fit to make the trip.

Le Parisien, relayed by Ouest France, today feature a story listing the three players who are unlikely to be at St. James’ Park on Wednesday evening.

It’s said an ‘almost complete group’ could take part in training on Monday, as only three players missed that session. Those are Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Asensio and Nuno Mendes.

Newcastle can see that as the glass half empty or half full. Because those may be three important players who PSG won’t have available, but those are all absences that were already expected, since they’re all recovering from injuries.

PSG also won’t have Layvin Kurzawa, Hugo Ekitike and Cher Ndour, because even though they trained, they’re not in the Champions League squad.

Following the draw against AC Milan at the San Siro, Newcastle should now focus on adding some points and prestige with a win over the French club. PSG, meanwhile, already beat Borussia Dortmund, and will try to stay top of the group.
