As Diogo Costa’s form at FC Porto is today highlighted by the Portuguese media, we see Newcastle United again named as a potential destination for the goalkeeper.

It’s newspaper Record who on Tuesday feature a piece explaining that following his great performances against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, the 23-year-old is now set to be back in action in the tournament, where he already has the ‘spotlight’ on him, as the Dragons will be in Belgium facing Club Brugge tomorrow.

Speaking of clubs who are attentive to the player, Newcastle get a new mention, with the outlet claiming the Magpies have the Portugal international ‘well referenced’.

The story, however, claims the goalkeeper is completely focused on Porto for now, even though he’s also set to be in the World Cup squad very soon. The newspaper doesn’t even mention how much the Dragons would demand for his sale.

Newcastle must be aware of the competition they’re about to face for Diogo Costa. Because as highlighted by Record, the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United have been sending scouts to watch him, and could build a good fight for his signing in the near future.
