Newcastle United target Cenk Tosun has told BeinSportsHaber he’ll leave Besiktas when he gets approval from the Turkish club’s hierarchy.

The Turkey international has been linked with Newcastle United in recent weeks, with claims the Premier League side are lining up a £20m bid for the player.

Milliyet have reported on comments Tosun made when quizzed about his future with Besiktas: “I love Besiktas, I really do. I’ve always wanted to play for this club and I’m living the dream. But in the right time, with the green light from our president, I’d like to play in Europe.”

The forward was linked with a move to Newcastle United in the last window, when they had an offer of £8m rejected by Besiktas.

In recent weeks the Premier League side have revived their interest in Tosun after some impressive displays for his club, and they recently sent a scout to watch him for Turkey.

Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Besiktas are already looking for possible replacements in case Tosun leaves the club in January, which will only give Newcastle United encouragement in their pursuit of the player.
