According to a claim in the Turkish media, Newcastle United will target Crystal Palace owned forward Alexander Sorloth if their takeover happens.
The Norway international is currently on loan with Trabzonspor and has impressed for the Super Lig side since his arrival last summer on a loan deal from the Eagles.
Fotospor report if Mohammed Bin Salman purchases Newcastle United then he will pump a vast amount of money into the Premier League side with regards to bringing in new players.
It’s claimed Crystal Palace’s Sorloth is on the shortlist of the Saudi Arabian prince, but they should expect to face competition, with Real Madrid said to be showing an interest.
Trabzonspor do have the option to make Sorloth’s move permanent but there have been reports suggesting they will sell the player for a hefty profit if they use the clause. Fotospor say Newcastle United are hopeful they could still land the forward for a bargain fee.
Sorloth is under contract with Crystal Palace until June 2024.
