According to a claim in the Turkish media, Newcastle United are lining up a bid for Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun.
The 26 year old has been impressive for the Turkish champions this season, and he’s also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the past week.
CNN Turk have today reported Newcastle United are to step up their pursuit of Tosun, and are ready to table a bid in the region of €20m for the Turkey international. The forward was linked with a move to Newcastle United in the last window, when they had an offer of £8m rejected by Besiktas.
In recent weeks the Premier League side have revived their interest in Tosun after some impressive displays for his club, and they recently sent a scout to watch him for Turkey.
However, Newcastle United will have to act fast after claims last week Tottenham have already met his agent to discuss a move.
