NtvSpor claim Newcastle United ready to step up in their interest for Cenk Tosun by sending a scout to Besiktas’ next two matches.

The Turkish champions will play against Akhisar Belediyespor and Porto, and Newcastle United will use these games to get a further lowdown on the 26 year old.

They claim Newcastle United head of recruitment Steve Nickson will be in the stands for the Turkish side’s next two games as Rafael Benitez looks to bolster his attacking options in January.

The Premier League side tried to sign Tosun in the last window, and in recent weeks they’ve been linked with the Turkey international.
