Aksam claim Newcastle United are showing an interest in Galatasaray attacker Sofiane Feghouli ahead of the January transfer window.
Rafael Benitez will be looking to bring in reinforcements in the new year if he gets the backing from Newcastle Untied’s board and, according to Aksam Feghouli, is a target.
In recent weeks Newcastle United have put some results together which has helped them pull away from the relegation zone, but the Premier League side will be looking to secure their place in the top flight by adding to the squad.
Feghouli played for West Ham United during the 2016/17 season but failed to make his mark in the Premier League. Brought in by former West Ham manager Slaven Bilic from Valencia much was expected of the Algeria international, but he failed to deliver for the Hammers.
The winger has also been a disappointment since joining Galatasaray and he’s no longer seen as a certain starter under Fatih Terim. Feghouli has started just five Super Lig games this season.
Galatasaray are also looking to sell some of their players to balance their books due to FFP, and with Feghouli being one of their top earners they could look to offload him.
