According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce and Newcastle United are in the race to sign Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.
The Nigeria international is currently on loan with Galatasaray and has impressed for the Super Lig champions this season.
Sabah have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of Osimhen as speculation continues over which club he will eventually sign for next summer.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce sporting director Mario Branco has enquired about the forward and the possibility of the player remaining in Istanbul when his loan period with Galatasaray expires at the end of the season.
The Turkish media outlet say Napoli sporing director Giovanni Manna is looking for offers in the region of €75m for Osimhen and Fener can expect competition from other clubs, including Newcastle United.
Newcastle United are said to be monitoring the situation with the attacker and have been in contact with Napoli over his availability. Fellow English sides Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the Nigerian.
The 25-year-old has scored eight goals in nine games for Cimbom this season, including a brace against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League last week.
