Newcastle United have made a €10m offer for Enzo Perez, according to a little snippet from Spanish newspaper Sport.
In their Monday edition, Sport get straight to the point, and claim: ‘Valencia could have already found a buyer for the Argentine footballer, as Newcastle offers €10m for him.’
Another Spanish newspaper, AS, claims that Perez has been offered to several Premier League clubs, with Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United among them, and that Valencia are looking for around €10m.
So, either Sport have got the message confused, or Newcastle have acted upon the chance and put an offer on the table. At the same time, Perez is also being linked strongly with a move to River Plate, so perhaps this is all to put pressure on the Argentine club.
Perez is a 31 year old midfielder, in and out of the Argentina squad over the past few years.
His move from Benfica to Valencia hasn’t gone as well as some had hoped, but then Valencia have been in something of a hole for the past few years anyway.
