According to Turkish website Net Haber, Newcastle United and Leicester City are interested in signing Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.
Muriqi has been linked with Leicester City in recent weeks and it now seems Newcastle United are also in the picture.
The Kosovan striker has been in impressive form for Fenerbahce since joining the Super Lig club from Caykur Rizespor at the start of the season, and this has led to interest from Premier League clubs.
Both Brendan Rodgers and Steve Bruce could look to bolster their attacking options in the summer and it seems the Fener player is an option.
It’s reported the Fenerbahce board are looking for offers in the region of €35m if they sell the 25 year old during the next window, and along with Leicester City and Newcastle United, Burnley and AS Monaco are also said to be interested.
Muriqi has made 22 appearances for the Yellow Canaries in all competitions this season, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists. He’s under contract with the Istanbul side until June 2023.
