In the past few months, there have been endless rumours regarding Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United.

Barcelona have been linked with the Swedish striker and they could make a summer move, as the 25-year-old is said to be the Catalan giants’ main target.

It now seems as if Newcastle United could be preparing for life without Isak and aiming to sign another star striker.

TVPlay, part of the Gazzetta dello Sport group, have reported that the player in question is Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, who has struggled to make a mark under Thiago Motta this season.

While he does have nine Serie A goals, there have been question marks about his suitability and consistency.

As a result, Newcastle United have joined the race for the Serbian, with Arsenal also interested.

Juve are keen to sell the striker in the summer, as it will be their last chance to earn a major fee from his exit. That is because Vlahovic’s current contract in Turin runs out in the summer of 2026 and there are no signs for a renewal.

The Old Lady could accept a fee of around €30m for the 25-year-old and this could prove to be a tempting opportunity for the Magpies.

Newcastle United don’t want to sell Isak, but should he decide he wants out then €30m for Vlahovic doesn’t look a terrible idea.
