Newcastle United are one of the sides in the mix for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic this summer, with the Club World Cup likely to be key to his future.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that while Vlahovic’s future lies away from Juventus, where remains to be seen.

With a change in management at the club, and indeed other clubs too, there’s been no real movement around the Serbian striker as yet.

So, he is returning to Continassa this week after the international break and will fly with the squad to the Club World Cup in America. There may be a chat with new general manager Damien Comolli before that, particularly as Vlahovic’s current deal expires in 2026 and he’s not renewing.

Juventus won’t run the risk of losing him for free and the clear solution is a transfer, even at a reduced price. The Italians would expect €30-40m. Fenerbahce have already offered the former.

Newcastle are one of the sides in the background, alongside Atletico Madrid. They’re not moving forwards yet, perhaps waiting to see how things develop.

That is why the Club World Cup could be key. It will provide the striker with a chance to reinvigorate himself after just 15 goals in 41 appearances this season. His last goal for Juventus was a month ago.

The tournament could help him get back on track and either drum up new suitors or kick the older ones, like Newcastle, into action.
