Earlier today we covered reports from Turkey that Newcastle United failed in their attempt to sign Galatasaray attacker Garry Rodrigues in the last window.
It was reported the Premier League side tabled an offer of €8m with the Turkish giants, but this was rejected at the request of Galatasaray manager Faith Terim.
There were also suggestions Newcastle United would have to double their bid if they want to sign the Cape Verde international.
This isn’t the first time the English side have been linked with Rodrigues, following their initial attempt to sign the player during the last summer window.
Again we covered reports from the Turkish media that Newcastle United had offered £6m for the 27 year old, which was this time turned down by former Galatasaray boss Igor Tudor.
It was also reported Newcastle United sent scouts to Turkey earlier this season to get a lowdown on Rodrigues, and were impressed with his performance.
This seems to be one Rafael Benitez is keeping an eye on.
