As Napoli star Victor Osimhen continues to draw a big summer battle for his signing, Newcastle United continue being named as one of the main contenders to land him.

An update from the Italian media claims Bayern Munich, following the ‘farewell bomb’ from Robert Lewandowski, are now keen on bringing the Nigerian player to the Bundesliga.

So as Calcio Mercato writes about that, they put the Bavarian giants side by side with Newcastle United in the race for Osimhen.

The website writes that the Magpies have been ‘wooing him’ for some time, and a ‘monster offer’ from St. James’ Park could arrive soon.

Calcio Mercato says Napoli have been ‘clear’ about Osimhen’s sale, claiming only an ‘indispensable proposal’ would take him from the club. The minimum price is said to be €100-110m.

This is the reason why Arsenal withdrew from the race, and as Newcastle continue their chase, it seems their biggest opponents are now Bayern Munich.
