Newcastle United are the latest club to join the race for the signing of Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski, according to reports from Italy.

Following the rumours which have been linking the 21-year-old to a couple of Premier League clubs, it’s now again claimed the Magpies have made contact for the move.

Sportitalia (via Tutto Mercato Web) says the ‘rich’ Newcastle have now ‘tested ground’ for the player, increasing the list of potential suitors for him.

The outlet recalls that before the Magpies, the likes of Arsenal, Sevilla and Tottenham Hotspur had already been interested in the player.

Sportitalia doesn’t say how much Newcastle are willing to spend on the move, although Tutto Mercato Web recalls that Juventus spent €35m plus bonuses to take him from Parma in the summer of 2020.

At the Old Lady this season, Kulusevski has spent most of the time on the bench, with only one goal and three assists in 21 appearances, and that’s why his departure in January has become a strong rumour.
