It appears that Aaron Ramsey is definitely contemplating leaving Juventus this January window, but isn’t in a rush to get anything done just yet.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who take a look at the situation of a few undesirables at the Serie A club, a group which includes the Welshman.
Max Allegri made it clear a few days ago that he wasn’t counting on the midfielder, which will have pricked up the ears of Newcastle United, who have been the most strongly linked Premier League side since way before the start of the transfer window.
On Thursday, the belief was that a track to St James’ Park was getting ‘hotter and hotter’, with the Magpies the keenest, and that train of thought remains 24 hours later.
TuttoMercatoWeb recall that Ramsey has turned down the likes of Burnley, and ‘awaits a proposal from a higher level club’.
Whether that’s Newcastle United remains to be seen, considering they are currently in a relegation battle with Eddie Howe at the helm, but they do have a ‘project of grandeur’ that could be attractive despite their situation.
As for Ramsey, it’s stated that he will ‘wait until the last days of the transfer market’ to decide on his future, giving the Magpies a bit more time to climb up the table and become a bit more attractive in the process.
