Jonathan David is in his second season at Lille and has continued to shine, scoring 16 goals from 34 matches in all competitions.
It’s no surprise the striker’s form for the French club has caught the attention of other clubs and this includes Newcastle United.

The Tyneside club, on the other hand, could be an option since the player admitted earlier this week a move to the Premier League attracts him. The website provides details on efforts made by the Magpies to sign the former Gent man.
It’s claimed Eddie Howe’s side are in talks with Lille to sign David in the summer transfer window. With the help of their new owners, Newcastle now have the financial muscle to meet the French club’s €60m+ demands to carry out the transfer.
David’s agent has already admitted the attacker will leave Lille after this season and it’ll be interesting to see where he will end up in the summer.
