Newcastle United are today again being linked with Real Betis star Nabil Fekir.
The Magpies’ interest in the midfielder is detailed by Fichajes, who claim the Premier League side are now planning a ‘new offer’ to land the 29-year-old.
According to the story, following the failed quest to sign him last summer, Newcastle now currently prepare a €45m bid to land him.
Fichajes claim the La Liga side are still to give an answer regarding the midfielder’s sale. It’s made clear that his departure is ‘not ruled out’, as ‘no one is untransferable’ at the club, and the money from his transfer could help them afford more signings which would raise the level of their squad.
Basically, they’re just saying that in case Newcastle’s bid is good enough, then the Spanish club will be open to letting him go.
A couple of weeks ago, the very same website had already been talking about Newcastle’s interest in Fekir, claiming the Magpies were launching their first summer attempt to land the midfielder. Now they come up reporting the numbers on the table, so perhaps this pursuit is indeed having a slow advance.
