As Newcastle United prepare their big plans for the next transfer window, they’re now interested in the signing of Everton star Richarlison, according to reports from Brazil.
UOL today writes that the Magpies are one of the clubs who made ‘enquiries’ for the Toffees’ star ahead of a summer move.
Richarlison, who’s living a difficult season at Goodison Park, is said to be preparing for a move out of the club this window, and his wish is to stay in the Premier League.
The report also brings details on the price demanded by Everton, as the Toffees ‘dream big’ of negotiating him for €80m.
The price, however, would go down in case of relegation, which is something Newcastle might now be hoping for, having managed to get away from the danger zone under Eddie Howe.
Since the take over, one of the first signings made by the St James’ Park side was a Brazilian, as they spent €42m to take Bruno Guimarães from Lyon.
It’s worth pointing out this is the first time the Magpies have been linked with Richarlison, and with the money at the club’s disposal these days, it’s certainly worthy of a mention.
We’ll keep an eye on any updates, but if the player wants to stay in England, where better to go than a club where there are already two of his compatriots in the aforementioned Bruno Guimarães and Joelinton?
