Napoli’s plans for the summer window are today detailed by outlet Calciomercato.
The website writes that with Victor Osimhen’s potential departure from the club, they’ll have enough money to achieve most of their objectives in the market.
It’s no secret the striker has been heavily linked to Premier League clubs, and as that information is now repeated, Newcastle United once again emerge as one of the biggest contenders for his signing.
The report writes that the Magpies had already made an attempt to buy Osimhen in January, and this time, they’re ‘ready to guarantee’ the player a salary of between €8-9m per season, which would double the figures he makes at Napoli.
The player is said to be ‘tempted’ to make a move to the Premier League, meaning Newcastle’s safety in the league (which is all but guaranteed) is vital for a transfer.
The Magpies should just be aware that it won’t be cheap to take Osimhen out of Napoli.
Calciomercato insists the Serie A side will demand a minimum of €100m to let him go this season.
Besides Newcastle, the player is said to have the interest from Manchester United as well.
