After letting Salomon Rondon return to West Brom and selling Ayoze Perez to Leicester City, Newcastle United had to find goals this summer.
They’ve already completed the club-record signing of Joelinton, and it seems they have another striker on their target list as well.
Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio is reporting that they are now hot on the trail of young Inter Milan striker Facundo Colidio.
A loan deal is currently on the table, with Newcastle taking the 19-year-old on a season-long deal with an option to buy at the end of it.
However, Di Marzio does state that there would be a ‘counter-option in favour of Inter’ in the deal as well, although it’s not made clear what that means or what it would be.
Newcastle aren’t the only club interested either, with Leeds United also in the race and waiting to swoop should a deal with the Magpies not happen.
