Jean-Clair Todibo has ended up on the radar of Newcastle United and Manchester United.

The 22-year-old joined OGC Nice in the winter 2021 market and has been regular for them, making 51 appearances in the league since arriving.

Foot Mercato state his ‘superb season’ with the Ligue 1 side has seen him make it to the wanted list of several clubs across Europe.

Sevilla and Napoli concretely approached Nice for the centre-back, but the French club politely rejected their approaches as they didn’t initially intend to part ways with him in the current window.

It’s said the ex-Barcelona man’s ‘name has been circulating’ at Newcastle and Manchester United.

Both Eddie Howe’s side and the Red Devils appreciate his profile and ‘do not rule out going on the offensive’ for the defender this summer.

The Frenchman has a contract until 2026 and as per the report, Nice value him in excess of €20m. For now, both Manchester United and Newcastle like Todibo’s profile. They haven’t made any advances and if either of them take that step, it needs to be seen how Nice will respond.

Whilst they may have initially been against a sale, the level of any offers will be crucial.
