Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson suffered an injury in his side’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United on December 27th and is expected to be out of action for months.
Wilson’s setback has seen the Magpies look for a new striker in January and three days after his injury, Tuttosport reported the Tyneside club have sent an interesting offer to Andrea Belotti’s entourage.
The Italy international is out of contract at Torino at the end of the season and has not looked close to signing a new deal with the Serie A side so far.
Newcastle are joined by Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal SFC in the chase for the striker, as per Sky Italia.
It’s explained these two clubs have made ‘important offers’ to the Euro 2020 winner. Eddie Howe’s side, sporting wise, are ‘much more prestigious’ when compared to Al Hilal.
The details of these proposals have not been revealed. However, Sky Italia state the 28-year-old has ‘declined’ both offers because he wants to finish the season at Torino and possibly look for a new club next summer, when Belotti will be available on a free transfer.
