With Newcastle United getting more and more mentions in transfer stories coming from the Italian press, there are now two reasons why the Magpies are named in Juventus’ business.

As the Old Lady’s transfer market was analysed today by Calcio Mercato, it’s now said that the Premier League side are interested in not one, but two midfielders from the Serie A giants.

The information is brought by Sport Mediaset journalist Gianni Balzarini, who had a word with CMIT TV about Juve’ plans for the upcoming transfer windows.

When talking about the midfielders who may be on the way out of the Old Lady, he pointed out that two of them have been drawing the interest from Newcastle United. Those are Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey.

“Rabiot is possibly linked to an offer of which there is no official news at least, some interest seems to be from Newcastle who would also be interested in the acquisition of Ramsey,” said Balzarini.

Both players have their contracts with Juventus expiring in 2023, but have different situations.

Ramsey is barely used at the club, who currently try to find a solution for him, as he keeps being linked to several English clubs. Rabiot, meanwhile, is more of a rotation player, for whom the Old Lady are more likely to negotiate for a fair fee.

Speaking of the Welsh midfielder, Balzarini confirms that he could leave for free.

“The strong point is this, Ramsey broke up with Juve. I guess the club broke up with him. The few minutes played depend on the physical conditions but also on this type of relationship, on the statements he made already last summer. He has some admirers and Juve is also willing to terminate for him. The term to be combined with the termination is severance pay.”
