Last Wednesday, Sport Mediaset reported Newcastle United are chasing Malick Thiaw and AC Milan would need €25-30m to sanction his sale.
A day later, we covered claims from Italy which said the Magpies are in direct contact with the 22-year-old’s agent. It was also stated the Serie A side would need €35-40m to consider selling him this summer.
MilanLive.it provides the latest on Milan’s stance and Newcastle’s desire to sign Thiaw.
At this moment in time, Eddie Howe’s side are the ‘most interested’ club.
Newcastle initially approached Milan for Fikayo Tomori, but his €45m asking price saw the Tyneside club shift their focus to the Germany international.
It’s claimed he could ‘say goodbye in the next few days’ as the Rossoneri are ready to sell him if there’s an offer of around €25m. The report makes it clear this is only the fixed fee and Milan will need bonuses to take the overall fee to around €33m.
Despite insisting that the player could leave in the coming days, there’s no mention or any indication of the Premier League side making an offer soon to sign him.
It’s to be noted that Milan’s request, quoted by the Italian media, over the past few days has varied between €25m and €40m.
