However, the Tyneside club’s efforts in bringing the striker to St James’ Park in the winter market didn’t yield any result after Napoli rejected their proposal. That has not discarded them to try to make another attempt after this season.
The 23-year-old is still on Newcastle’s agenda as Tuttosport suggested yesterday that there is a ‘concrete hypothesis’ of the Premier League side making an offer of around €120m in the next window.

To sum it up, the frontman is in ‘serious danger’ of being sold and favours a move to the Premier League in the summer.
