Spanish newspaper Marca claims Valencia, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have all asked about William Jose’s situation at Real Sociedad. He has four years left on his current deal and has a release clause of €60-65m in his contract.

The 26-year-old is happy with his current employer and hasn’t been pushing to leave.

Newcastle United and Fulham also wanted to secure his services and are the only two clubs to have submitted a bid for the player, which were turned down by the La Liga outfit.

Marca don’t say how much either Newcastle or Fulham offered, although it was previously suggested the Cottagers offer was around €29m.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are the latest club to have contacted the South American attacker’s representative, according to the report. There’s no claimed of a Chelsea offer, just that they’ve initiated contact.

The player’s agent, Nick Arcuri, has stressed that if a club can reach an agreement with Sociedad and if the proposal is interesting, it’ll be studied.

“To all those who ask me, I refer you to Real Sociedad. If the clubs reach an agreement and it is interesting for Willian, we will study it. He has four years of contract. He is happy and very calm, but if numbers are good for the team and for the player, let’s see.”
