After a week or so of talks with Newcastle United, it appears that Achraf Lazaar is now a free man.
The left-back, who has barely played for the Magpies since joining from Palermo in 2016, was a target for Milan late on in the January transfer window, and the process of cancelling his contract was underway.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, that is now a done deal, with the ‘goodbye’ now underway.
The player is now ‘ready for a new adventure’ with ‘Italy and other leagues calling’ him.
As a free agent following the end of the transfer window, he should be fairly popular, and it remains to be seen if Milan, who never signed their Theo Hernández backup, come back for another try now that they no longer have to deal with Steve Bruce and co.
