Before Fabio Borini swapped AC Milan for Hellas Verona in the winter market, he was repeatedly linked with a move to England.

Having played before in the Premier League, the 29 year old was presented as a candidate for several clubs, although it all seemed rather fortunate for him.

Again, there’s claims of interest from English clubs, with Tutto Hellas Verona reporting Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are all chasing the player and have been doing for a while.

Borini’s contract with Verona expires at the end of June, although it may be extended until the season finishes. After that, he’s going to be a free agent, which is really the only way Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa interest makes sense.

However, Newcastle will likely be shopping for a different level of player should their takeover go through.

Hellas Verona want to keep Borini, and his two goals in six matches for them is considered to be promising.
