Newcastle United have reportedly found an agreement for the signing of Amiens right-back Emil Krafth.
As reported by Soccer Link, after having a first bid for the player rejected, the Magpies have finally convinced the French side with a new offer. The player has also agreed a contract with the Premier League club.
Newcastle’s first offer had been €5m, but Soccer Link doesn’t say how much the club have offered to convince Amiens now.
The Magpies had been heavily linked to Krafth in the past week. The interest was originally revealed by L’Equipe, and Soccer Link said Newcastle ‘intended to finalise’ the signing quickly. That’s apparently what they did.
Krafth joined Amiens last summer on a loan deal from Bologna, and the transfer was made permanent for €2m this last month.
It’s previously been claimed that Steve Bruce, along with ‘Newcastle’s sporting director’, was seduced by the player’s ‘versatility and solidity’.
