Borussia Dortmund may be going through a difficult period with injuries, presenting continually challenges for new manager Peter Bosz, but there’s also some optimism ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur match.

Playing at Wembley is itself a big motivation, and that seems especially the case in Germany. Bild quote Dortmund sporting manager Michael Zorc as saying: “Playing in Wembley is one of the absolute highlights of a career for every footballer. We all look forward to it.”

But it’s not that which has got Bild the most excited ahead of Tottenham… that’s BVB’s new ‘weapon’ AUBALENKO.

What, did Borussia Dortmund sign a player the world has never heard of?

No, Bild say Bosz may choose the Tottenham match to unleash new signing Andriy Yarmolenko along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. That makes ‘AubaLenko’… ‘a duo that has a lot of experience and class on the international stage.’

Yarmolenko hasn’t started a match yet for Dortmund, it would perhaps be a big ask for his full debut to be away to Tottenham in the Champions League, but that’s what Bild are clearly itching for.
