Tottenham Hotspur continue to look to conclude business before the end of the transfer window, and that’s seen them linked with new targets, with Fabio Paratici seemingly hoping to do business with Juventus for multiple players.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports there’s been a ‘new offer from Tottenham’ for Rodrigo Bentancur, with Aston Villa also trying to sign the midfielder.

According to the report, a new approach is expected from Steven Gerrard’s side in the coming hours, but as it stands it’s Spurs who have presented the best deal for Juventus.

Tottenham’s offer is ‘more convincing’, and whilst it’s not stated explicitly why, it would appear it’s related to the formula of a deal, as well as the figures attached to the potential transfer.

Spurs have proposed a deal ‘other than a loan’, which would see Juventus pick up around €30m for their player, something they’d be glad to receive.

Now it’s over to Aston Villa to see if they can put something forward which takes the momentum away from Antonio Conte’s side.
