Frank Lampard has already made it very clear he sees a big future for Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea.

The club have been trying to get the 18 year old to sign a new contract, and whilst they’ve been doing so Bayern Munich have been buzzing around like an irritating fly.

Similar to how they’ve done with Leroy Sane at Manchester City, the Bundesliga club have been very public in their pursuit of the Chelsea player.

There’s been some arrogance in the approach, and at one stage Bild even claimed Bayern wanted to send their own doctor to check how Hudson-Odoi is recovering from his injury, before making an official offer for the player.

Today Bild report that after Chelsea rejected Bayern’s initial €25m offer, a ‘new offer’ is ‘being prepared’ for the player.

There’s no indication of what that offer will be, yet there’s clearly still some optimism in Germany that a deal is possible.

Perhaps Hudon-Odoi is playing Bayern, helping him get a better Chelsea contract. That would be quite entertaining.
