Loaned out by Chelsea for the season to Torino, Ola Aina has become an integral part of Walter Mazzarri’s plans over in Turin, to the point where it’s expected the Serie A side will make the move permanent.

However, that move has yet to be made, and the Nigeria international remains the Blues’ property until they do.

According to La Nazione on Wednesday, another club have taken an interest in the 22-year-old, as Fiorentina are in desperate need of a good right-back, shoehorning centre-backs such as Nikola Milenkovic and Federico Ceccherini in the role at times.

The newspaper explain that Vincenzo Montella, who took over from Stefano Pioli recently, has already drawn up a transfer list for the summer, which includes the Chelsea defender.

La Nazione point out he still belongs to the Blues meaning they could still technically make an offer to Marina Granovskaia, perhaps hoping Aina accepts their offer over Torino’s.

However, having helped his current side to within touching distance of a Europa League qualification spot, he could decide to remain where he is, knowing he already has the club’s and his manager’s backing.

It’s certainly a long shot for Fiorentina, but they might as well give it a go.
