For the Liverpool fans who love the Brazilian influence of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino in the team, there’s some good news coming.

No, the Reds aren’t signing another Brazilian player. But Naby Keita, the RB Leipzig midfielder who’s joining the club next summer, can be the one to add some of that magic to the team.

ESPN Brasil wrote a big story about the 22-year-old on Wednesday, and to talk a bit about him, they invited his former teammate Felipe Pires.

The Brazilian talked about the interesting influences the player born in Guinea has, and that’s why they got along so well.

“He loves Neymar and Ronaldinho Gaucho, they were the guys he always talked to me about, because of the characteristics of the game, they are guys who like to dribble, and he is like that too. He’s a fan of the famous joga bonito,” Pires told ESPN.

“I played with Naby Keita for a year and we were champions in the Red Bull Salzburg. He is a golden boy, very good. Talking about him is cool, because I made a very nice friendship and I’m very fond of him. He likes Brazilians a lot, because we are happy and cheerful. Every day we laugh regardless of the problems. He didn’t know how to speak the language at the time, and we had a translator who helped us. We had a great time together.

“When we had music he danced the African songs. I used to play Brazilian music, and we danced a lot. He likes to joke and he’s a pretty cool guy. He is at a very high level and I’m sure he will play even better when he goes to the Premier League”

ESPN recalls that Keita has some other influence from Brazil. He’s been registered in Bundesliga as Naby ‘Deco’ Keita, as a reference to the Brazilian midfielder who played for Chelsea.

Speaking to Bundesliga’s website in June, the soon to be Liverpool player said: “I think he was my father’s favourite when I was small. He was a top player.”

So there’s no doubt that the midfielder will have no trouble adapting to Liverpool’s dressing room. We mean, at least Firmino will still be there next season, right?
