AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan looks set to reject a move to Chelsea according to claims in the Italian media. The Belgium international has been linked with move to Chelsea in recent weeks, but it seems the player will commit himself to the Serie A side.
TMW have reported in the past 24 lours Nainggolan is close to extending his contract with Roma despite the attention of Chelsea. Antonio Conte is said to be keen on signing the Belgian midfielder after his experience battling against 28-year-old during his time as the coach of Juventus.
However, Nainggolan looks set to remain with Roma following claims his representatives will hold discussions with the club in the coming days. Roma are hoping to secure Nainggolan’s services until June 2021
Only last month we covered reports Chelsea Roma were willing to use players like Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rüdiger in order to complete a deal to sign Cesc Fabregas in this window.
Chelsea were strongly linked with Nainggolan during the summer, but Sport Witness were informed the deal was never as close to being done as suggested at the time. The only hope for Chelsea has come with no renewal being agreed since, and if that’s set to change, as has been claimed, then this one should be pretty much over.
