Tottenham’s decision to extend Toby Alderweireld’s contract until 2020 by triggering the clause in his contract has seen a number of clubs be linked with a future transfer since doing so also activated a €28m release clause.
Manchester United have been recurring candidates, since it was made clear last summer they liked what the Belgian had to offer, but the most recent team to join the fray is Paris Saint-Germain.
Well, Le10 Sport have now brought their own information to the table, and the French website claim a meeting is set to take place between Alderweireld’s representatives and Pini Zahavi to discuss a potential transfer to France’s capital.
Said encounter is expected to take place on Friday in London, with the renowned agent commissioned by the Ligue 1 champions to find out more about the ‘conditions’ under which the centre-back would move.
The 29-year-old has been almost ever-present under Mauricio Pochettino this season, missing just three games in all competitions.
