Olivier Giroud is the third-choice striker at Chelsea, behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.
Limited playing time, coupled with his contract situation (expires after this season) has seen various reports about the France international’s possibility of leaving Stamford Bridge in January.
Inter Milan are one of the clubs who are heavily linked.
According to Le10 Sport, the striker has admirers in Ligue 1, with Lyon and Bordeaux trying their luck for some time to sign the former Arsenal man.
It’s claimed OGC Nice have joined the other two French clubs in chasing the World Cup winner and they even contacted the west London club to ask about the 33-year-old.
Unfortunately for Nice, Giroud doesn’t consider joining them as a priority in the winter market.
His idea is to reunite with his former manager Antonio Conte at the San Siro. However, the Serie A side have not made an offer to Chelsea, but the contacts have been intense.
Therefore, Nice have very little hope of signing Giroud in the mid-season window.
