Of the many goings-on happening on deadline day, Pedro Porro’s move to Manchester City was one that definitely flew under the radar.

City moved quite quickly on the final day of the window to secure the 19-year-old’s signature from Girona in a move that suited all parties.

Porro wasn’t heading to the Etihad immediately, though, with City instead electing to loan him out to Real Valladolid for a season instead.

That loan deal is yet to happen but Mundo Deportivo report it’s close to being concluded.

The newspaper reports that Porro arrived at Valladolid yesterday and headed to the club’s offices at the José Zorrilla stadium.

While there he met with numerous people from the club but notably Sporting Director Miguel Angel Gomez, new coach Sergio Gonzalez, and even physical trainer Sergio Dorado.

That suggests Porro was at the club to do more than just have a look around and that this deal is one that should be made official sooner rather than later.
