Late on Monday, a report from Belgium appeared a bit out of nowhere that Tottenham, looking at options in case they sell Harry Kane, were in contact to sign Gift Orban.

The Nigerian striker became a bit of a sensation during the second half of last season at KAA Gent, scoring freely after his transfer from Stabæk, which has continued into this campaign with two goals in two appearances so far.

Het Nieuwsblad have a bit on Tottenham’s interest on Tuesday afternoon as they look into why Hein Vanhaezebrouck has left him on the bench for two games this season already.

The question asked is whether this is transfer related so that Gent can ‘secure its requested €25m’?

They answer that directly, as a ‘yes’ because according to their information, Mogi Bayat, who doesn’t represent Gift Organ according to Transfermarkt, is ‘getting involved in the dossier to sell him’ to Tottenham.

However, it’s made clear that nothing will move forward until Harry Kane is sold to Bayern Munich, which is also the case in Spurs’ pursuit of Jonathan David at Lille.

In fact, despite Bayat’s involvement, it’s pointed out that Gent are not in ‘far-reaching negotiations’ with any team for Organ just yet.

It’s worth noting that Mogi Bayat has some decent contacts in England, as two of his main clients are currently at Watford, and therefore could be a good bridge for Tottenham in potential conversations going forward.
